Statement

Mo’s work explores deep personal emotions, including grief, loneliness, and anger, as well as moments of hope and reflection. Central to her practice is the human figure, which serves as a vessel for untold stories, extending beyond physicality to convey complex emotional states. Whether through the vast spaces in her pieces or the use of bold brushstrokes and intaglio prints, Mo’s work navigates the delicate balance between intensity and restraint, precision and chaos.

Jewel-toned colors and metallics play a significant role in Mo's practice, adding a sense of mood and depth. The transience of metallics captures fleeting moments, while the richness of jewel-toned hues enhances the emotional landscape of each piece. Mo invites viewers to interpret and connect with the work, forging personal connections with the emotions and stories conveyed, transcending verbal communication.
